How you can volunteer

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organisation. Without our fantastic volunteers, there is simply no way that we could continue to provide our wide range of services for blind and vision impaired Tasmanians.

There are many ways you can volunteer to assist the work of Royal Guide Dogs Tasmania.

You can consider the following:

  • Help with our Doorknock
  • Become a Puppy Raiser
  • Do you have a specialist skill that we can use to assist with services?

Mailroom Hobart

Have you got some time on your hands?

We are looking for honest, reliable and mature people, who are able to commit a three-hour roster, from 9.00 a.m. - 12.00 noon, to assist us with our incoming mail. No experience necessary, training will be given. The mailroom operates Monday to Friday, so you can pick the day (or days) that are convenient to you.

If you can help us with this important task please phone Pam on 03 6232 1222 Mon-Thurs.

Volunteers make a significant contribution to Royal Guide Dogs Tasmania each and every year. If you can help, either a little or a lot, please let us know. Your assistance could make the world of difference.
