New Guide Dog Staff Member

Hi There,

My name is Dennis Walker and today is my fourth day in Tasmania! I have come here to work as a guide dog instructor and will be based in Launceston for at least a year or so. I have just moved from New Zealand where I worked for the past seven years with Guide Dog Services. Prior to that I was in the United States, my home country, where I trained with Guide dogs for the Blind, Inc. I'm really looking forward to getting to work with the guide dogs here and also getting to see a part of the world that I have never seen before. I actually don't know that much about Tasmania at the moment but I'm sure that my stay here will be enjoyable and educational.

Looking forward to meeting you all, Dennis.

Hi Dan English here,

I just want to say how pleased I am to see that Dennis has made it across to us and how fortunate we are to have someone like himself join our team. His experience with guide dogs will be a valuable asset to us. Dennis has met several "guide dog" people here already and hope you all get a chance to meet him and welcome him aboard.
